First impressions count for a lot. When meeting an employer, they will partly judge you based on your personal presentation. If you can't present yourself well, how are they supposed to believe that you are capable of undertaking services for them.
Suitable clothing should be worn when doing a job. Your safety and the safety of others around you / in your care must be taken into account. For example, if your babysitting job requires you to be active with the kids, your clothing and footwear should enable you to fulfil this responsibility. If you can't make it to the job at all its essential that you call your employer as soon as possible so that they can make other arrangements.
Politeness/Demeanour
This point is particularly important when taking care of someone's children. Remember that you may have an effect on the holistic and psychological development of another person' s child. It is important that a misbehaving child be dealt with in a manner deemed appropriate to the child's parents.
In other cases, you must acknowledge that you may be initially working in a strangers home with their families. Respect should be shown for their property and families.
